11plusprogress – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the 11plusprogress web application and related services (the "Service"). The Service consists of two distinct parts:

  • The Parent Website, intended for use by parents or legal guardians
  • The Student Website, intended for use by students under parental supervision

Both parts of the Service may be made available under the same domain or under different subdomains.

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

The Service is currently offered as a public beta and is not charging for access at this time. We may introduce paid plans in the future, but we will not charge you unless the applicable pricing and payment terms are made clear to you and you actively agree to them at the point of purchase.


2. We May Change These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The date of the most recent update will always be shown at the top of this page.

By continuing to use the Service after changes are made, you agree to the updated Terms.

5. Eligibility and Account Structure

5.1 Parent Accounts

  • The Parent Website is intended for use by parents or legal guardians ("Parents").
  • Parents are the authorised account holders and the contracting party under these Terms.
  • Parents are responsible for all activity carried out on their account and any associated student accounts.
  • Parents must be at least 18 years old.

5.2 Student Accounts and Student Website

  • Parents may create accounts for their children ("Students") via the Parent Website.
  • The Student Website is designed for use by children and young people and is intended to be accessed only under the supervision and consent of a Parent.
  • Students may only access the Student Website using credentials provided by a Parent.
  • Students may not create accounts themselves or access the Parent Website.

Parents acknowledge and agree that:

  • Students are permitted users of the Service
  • Parents accept these Terms on behalf of their Students
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring that Students comply with these Terms and any usage rules communicated through the Service

Student Conduct

Parents are responsible for ensuring that Students use the Service appropriately.

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to student accounts if a Student's use of the Service breaches these Terms or poses a risk to the Service, other users, or themselves.


6. Accounts and Security

  • Parents must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.
  • Parents are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials for both the Parent Website and Student Website.
  • Parents must notify us immediately if they believe their account or a student account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.


7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use any part of the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Share account credentials outside your household
  • Attempt to copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service
  • Circumvent access controls or subscription restrictions
  • Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content

We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including suspension or termination, if these rules are violated.


8. Educational Disclaimer

11plusprogress provides educational resources intended to support learning.

We do not guarantee:

  • Examination results
  • School admissions
  • Specific academic outcomes

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including software, questions, explanations, and learning materials, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.


10. Availability and Changes to the Service

  • We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • We may modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Parent Website or Student Website at any time without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • Loss of data
  • Loss of educational opportunity

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.


12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service immediately if:

  • These Terms are breached
  • We are required to do so by law
  • It is necessary for security or operational reasons

Upon termination, all rights to use the Service will end immediately.


13. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using the Service, Parents consent to the collection and processing of their data and their child's data, including additional protections for children's data in accordance with UK data protection law.


14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
